At the Swimming Hole

It    got to 33 degrees Celsius (about 80 degrees F) on Saturday, with a bit of wind and drier than heck. So the best thing to do I thought was take the kids and friends to the old swimming hole. I hadn’t been there in years. Someone put up a swinging rope which intrigued the girls right away, though I thought they took a lot of time and ingenuity to NOT get wet in order to get the rope, so that they could in turn get wet. Teen logic.

I worked with the image a bit in Photoshop to give it a summertime fun feel.

The pond also had massive leopard frogs which totally made my son’s day. I have to admit that I got caught up in trying to catch them too. He was much better at it then me though, they kept slipping out of my hands.

These photographs were shot in the midday sun which didn’t make for ideal situations but a little work and the colours looks quite summery.
