Two discarded sofas in the weirdest of places – beside a walking path in the middle of a green space – gave me the idea for a homeless series. Mark and I have talked about doing a series on homeless which is something we see everyday in downtown Calgary. We want to capture their stories and images. But for these pictures I wanted to show the irony of having a sofa but no roof overhead. Not wanting to miss out an opportunity to shoot these couches before the City hauled them away I used the nearest warm body for a model around – me.

no remote. no electricity. no happy.

But the forecast called for rain.

no home sweet home.

Somebody get the lights, I'm done.
WOW.
