One of my favorite effects is “pop and drag”. It involves using your flash but leaving your shutter open a bit longer. The surreal effect is a combination of the flash freezing the object in the frame but also providing a bit of motion blur. I love images that seem to move or that make you look twice. This skeleton is from the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada.
